Dental Bridges in Beverly Hills and Northridge, CA

Dental Bridges

A missing tooth changes how you chew, speak, and smile. A dental bridge fills the gap with a custom replacement tooth anchored to your neighboring teeth or to dental implants. At Smile Boutique Group, our dentists design and place dental bridges at our Beverly Hills and Northridge offices, with an on-site lab to match each bridge to your natural teeth.

What Is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth with an artificial tooth held in place by the teeth or implants on each side of the gap. Your dentist cements the bridge in place, so you do not take it out at night.

A bridge has three parts:

Our team crafts bridges from zirconia, porcelain, or porcelain fused to zirconia. Your dentist recommends a material based on the location of the gap, your bite force, and your cosmetic goals.

Types of Dental Bridges

Your dentist recommends a bridge type based on the health of your remaining teeth, your jawbone, and the number of teeth you are missing.

Are You a Good Candidate for a Dental Bridge?

You are a strong candidate for a dental bridge if you:

If you have gum disease or tooth decay, your dentist treats it before placing your bridge. See our periodontal treatments for more details.

The Dental Bridge Process at Smile Boutique Group

Here is what to expect during a dental bridge treatment:

Consultation and 3D imaging:

Your dentist examines your teeth and gums, takes X-rays and 3D scans, and checks your bite. You then review your bridge options, costs, and timeline before choosing a treatment plan.

Tooth preparation:

Your dentist numbs the area and reshapes the abutment teeth to make room for the crowns. Our team offers IV sedation if dental visits make you feel anxious or uncomfortable.

Digital scans:

Our team scans your teeth with digital technology instead of putty impressions. Our on-site lab technician uses these scans to build your bridge and match its shade to your smile.

Temporary bridge:

You wear a temporary bridge to protect the prepared teeth while our lab completes your final bridge. Your temporary bridge also lets you eat, speak, and smile during this time.

Final placement

Your dentist removes the temporary bridge, then checks the fit, bite, and color of your final bridge. After you approve the result, your dentist cements your permanent bridge in place.

FAQs

A dental bridge lasts 10 to 15 years or longer with good care. Daily brushing, cleaning under the pontic, and regular checkups extend its life.
Avoid hard foods such as ice, hard candy, and nuts, and sticky foods such as caramel and taffy. Cut crunchy fruits and vegetables into small pieces. You return to most of your normal diet within a few days.
Most dental insurance plans cover part of the cost of a bridge as a major service. Coverage amounts vary by plan. Our team verifies your benefits and explains your out-of-pocket cost before treatment.

Properly removed tissue usually stays at its planned level. Regrowth might occur when gum inflammation, medication-related enlargement, or an untreated bone relationship remains present. Good hygiene and professional maintenance support a stable result.
